“ I had to come to Skinny's Cantina as I am a huge fan of their first restaurant in Long Island City, which has a completely different vibe than this place. I ended up coming here with a friend for dinner on a Saturday night. I would suggest taking an Uber or public transportation to get here because it is extremely difficult to find parking. They do have valet service, but it is a whopping $40, which I found expensive for this area. Be aware before coming here that there is a cover to get in. My friend and I each paid a $20 cover to get in. Once we were in we were greeted by the hostess. This place gets PACKED, so although we had a reservation, we still had to wait a little bit to be seated. Once we were seated we did have to wait a while for a waiter to come to us and bring us a menu and water, but my friend and I didn't mind too much because the vibe here is absolutely amazing. They have a great DJ here that was playing a good mix of R&B, hip hop, reggae and reggaeton. The music is very loud here, which my friend and I didn't mind, but if you are looking to go out to have a quiet evening and conversation with friends, this isn't the spot to go to. They also have hookah service here, which I loved, because my friend and I were able to indulge while we waited for our food. We also ordered drinks, which both tasted super delicious. I ordered the frozen passion fruit margarita and my friend ordered the Coconut Passion, which was a mixture of tequila, coconut and passion fruit. Both drinks have tropical vibes. Although we had to wait for a bit for our waiter to take our order, once we ordered our food came out quick! My friend ordered the queso fundido, which is a queso dip with peppers and onions, that came with a side of tortilla chips. She also ordered the crispy fish tacos, which were tacos that came with a fried tilapia, avocados and salsa. It was a serving of three tacos, which were a generous size. My friend absolutely loved both the queso fundido and fish tacos. The fish tacos were perfectly seasoned and the fried tilapia was fried in a amazing batter. I ordered the chicken wings and crispy calamari. The chicken wings, although on the smaller size, came with many wings, so much so that I wasn't able to eat them all, but they were delicious. The wing sauce was both sweet and savory and came with a tasty blue cheese dressing. The calamari was probably one of the best calamari's I've ever eaten. They were the perfect amount of crispy and also came with battered jalapeños, which were just as tasty and crispy. They were served with the cilantro and tomatillo aioli which was chefs kiss. I couldn't get enough of it! Overall this place is a great and fun place to come to and I'll definitely be coming back for their brunch in the very near future. ”

“ I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday for brunch , with a party of definitely over 15 ppl . Upon arrival , you're greeted at the door by security who is checking for ID and possible weapons. When we got inside the place is hugeee and very well decorated , music bumping and just a good vibe overall . Now the vibe for me is a 10/10 Music is 8/10 Food was a little above average , 7/10 , pictures will be below . I really can't complain about anything at this establishment because I had a BLAST! The pitchers of mimosa were tasty and good , We even ordered hookah on the side which was $40 cash separate from the bill . “ I was so happy to be invited to this restaurant. When my friend and I arrived, we parked on the street nearby. We walked up and saw there was indoor and outdoor seating. It was raining so no one was outside. We walked in and were greeted by the female manager. I totally forgot her name, but she was nice and accommodating. She sat us, and Erica was our server. While new, she was on point! I loved her energy, and she was super attentive. We started with the sangria pitcher, and the awesome female bartender hooked us up with some specialty cocktails. The frozen margarita I had was so great! My friend enjoyed her coconut cocktail! For our appetizers, we both got wings, and the sweet chili wings were ok. Now it was time for entrées and I got the fajitas which were tasty and plenty to eat. My friend got the steak and eggs and she enjoyed them! The vibe was great, the DJ was off the chain, and the service was good as well! I really enjoyed my time! ”

“ Rolled up to Skinny's Cantina for my dear friend's birthday Sunday brunch. Whooooweeee, Did we have tons of fun! So much so that they asked to move the 10 of us from our reservation seating upstairs to the very spacious VIP booths downstairs and moved down our tab. I don't really remember our tab total but it was super affordable and reasonable. We opted for the Brunch special which included a certain number of pitchers for our group, brunch appetizers and entree. The DJ kept us moving and grooving as we caught up on our lives, ate and drank. Of course I ordered celebratory tequila shots and our server, Nicole, could not have been more amazing. Out came the sparklers, the DJ shout outs AND the photographer! After our shots we ordered hookah and got to look through the framed photographs. Then the real dancing started and I think we all left before 10pm having danced until our bodies were covered in sweat. The music was a great mix of songs to get you moving and the DJ was in vibe with our responsive crowd. At the end of the day, Skinny's is a wayyy better option than the others it replaced. This place is great for groups so you can create your own vibe. I'd totally go back! ”
